Colorado Youth Outdoors Presents NOCO Winter Wonderland
NOCO Winter Wonderland is a fun way to celebrate the holiday season while also helping the community. Gate fees and donations are used to support Colorado Youth Outdoors as well as four other nonprofits in northern Colorado—one of which is UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation. Proceeds from Dec. 23 sales go to the foundation’s Greatest Needs Fund.
Days of Giving—Give food. Give blood.
During this season of bounty, help those in our community who need it most. Join us at our Days of Giving Nov. 17-19, 2020, in Fort Collins, Greeley or Loveland to donate blood and/or drop off food donations in a safe, socially distanced manner.
Bank of Colorado extends match of donations to patient assistance fund
There is now more time to make the most of your donation to our Cancer Patient Assistance Fund with a match from Bank of Colorado. Through the end of the year, Bank of Colorado will match all donations to the assistance fund, up to $8,000.
Two things to know about the CARES Act as year’s end approaches
Improving health in our community is a compelling reason to support the foundation’s mission of helping advance health care in northern Colorado. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act offers additional incentives for charitable giving, in effect through Dec. 31, 2020.
Support our life-saving work through your donor advised fund
A grant from your donor advised fund (DAF) will help to support health care in northern Colorado during these challenging times. A DAF, which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact, or you can use your fund as a tool for ongoing and future charitable gifts.
Innovations, expansion of cancer treatment coming to Fort Collins
Improvements are underway at the UCHealth Harmony Campus, where we’re expanding our cancer center to provide our patients more innovative treatment.
Donor contributions helped to build the cancer center, which opened its doors in 2014. Philanthropy continues to support cancer research and treatment as well as to provide financial assistance for cancer patients in need.
Expressing gratitude—a powerful part of healing
Over the past year, grateful patients in northern Colorado honored 55 of our health care heroes and four hospital units as Guardian Angels. A Guardian Angel is someone a patient recognized for making a difference in their treatment: a doctor, nurse, physical therapist, receptionist, anyone who had a meaningful impact on their care.
UCHealth Family Medicine Center food pantry fills need for food support
As the economic effects of COVID-19 continue, many people struggle to afford groceries. The UCHealth Family Medicine Center (FMC) food pantry, which partners with Food Bank for Larimer County, helps provide fresh food to those suffering food insecurity.
Employee scholarship awards announced for 2020–21
Each year, donor generosity enables UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation to award scholarships to UCHealth northern Colorado employees interested in furthering career-related skills. For our 2020–21 scholarship cycle, $85,000 was awarded to 47 recipients.
