UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation created the Circle of Caring to honor donors who have made a legacy commitment to the foundation. Circle of Caring donors leave their imprint through thoughtful, planned gifts from their estate. The foundation recently welcomed Elizabeth and Michael Hogan into the Circle of Caring.

No birth ever goes as planned, but an extended stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit can further complicate life. At the UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital NICU, when families can’t be with their babies, cameras, which were purchased with philanthropic dollars, strengthen bonds.

We are deeply thankful for the support of the Ptarmigan Ladies Golf Association and Houska Automotive. Because of their generosity and the fundraisers they foster, hundreds of patients and their families experiencing a cancer diagnosis or food insecurity can breathe a little easier.

“Spinning babies” might sound like a video game, but in reality it’s an inventive, proactive approach to creating an easier birth. Thanks to donor generosity, the Spinning Babies program, along with some new technology and items that enhance care for babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), are available at our northern Colorado hospitals.

The generosity of private donors and community business partners, as well as many of our employees, contributed to a total of $69,000 in awards to 50 employees. Congratulations to these individuals.

One of the most effective yet simplest ways you can support a charitable organization is by including a gift in your will. Also known as a charitable bequest, a gift made through your will can benefit both you and the causes most important to you.

UCHealth Greeley Hospital just marked its first birthday after caring for thousands of patients and playing a key role in the fight against COVID-19 in one of the hardest-hit counties in the state. “This was an exciting and yet challenging year that helped us build the foundation of Greeley Hospital,” said Marilyn Schock, president of the hospital. “The community will be depending on us for this excellent care for years to come. I am so proud of the work our team has done and all of the lives they’ve touched.”

Giving satisfies a unique human need to be part of something larger than ourselves. Giving to UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation fosters a strong, healthy community for our families, friends and neighbors. There are as many reasons for giving as there are people in the world. A few of our donors share their motivation for donating to invest in the health of our community.

The foundation congratulates the Poudre Valley Hospital orthopedics unit and environmental services teams. Through our Grateful Patient Program, a patient made a donation in their honor.

You may have seen or heard recent news coverage that indicates food insecurity is increasing as a result of pressures on the economy. Our own UCHealth Family Medicine Center food pantry is seeing higher usage and has issued an urgent call for donations. If you can help, we are grateful.
