UCHealth and Colorado State University (CSU) teamed up to create a powerful partnership, celebrating resilience and perseverance.

UCHealth and CSU’s Fight Like a Ram program embodies the power of community, teamwork and support for those facing cancer in northern Colorado.

At select CSU basketball, football, volleyball, and other sporting events, CSU athletes proudly wear jerseys featuring the last names of UCHealth cancer patients. These patients are honored in meaningful ways during the games—whether through halftime recognitions, on-court celebrations, or other heartfelt moments. It’s a touching tribute that not only honors these individuals but also showcases the shared commitment of UCHealth and CSU to making a difference in our community.

This February, The Human Bean is generously joining the effort. For every purchase of the Fight Like a Ram Bright drink, $1 will be donated to UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation’s Oncology Patient and Family Assistance Fund. This fund helps alleviate the financial challenges often associated with a cancer diagnosis by covering essential, non-insurance-covered expenses, including:

  • Household expenses: rent, mortgage, utilities, and phone bills
  • Medical expenses: medical bills, co-pays, prescriptions, and insurance premiums
  • Access-to-care expenses: transportation, childcare, car payments, and gasoline

With The Human Bean, Fight Like a Ram exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and compassion that defines UCHealth, CSU and our northern Colorado community. Together, we celebrate the courage of cancer patients and unite to provide critical support to those who need it most.

support oncology patients and their families

A new oncology patient can have upwards of 100 appointments within their first-year post-diagnosis. The impact on both the patient and their family is significant, especially when it comes to finances. Your generosity helps our cancer care team provide vital financial support to patients so that they can focus on their healing journey.
